East China's Shandong Province has seen a robust trade increase with members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the first 10 months of this year, according to the customs of Qingdao, a coastal city in the province.
From January to October, Shandong's imports and exports with ASEAN members hit a value of 3.45 billion US dollars, up 48.5 percent over the same period of last year, show the statistics from the customs.
Shandong's exports to ASEAN, including mechanical and electrical products, textiles, steel billets, vegetables and fruit, reached 1.83 billion dollars in value, up 51.4 percent year on year.
Imports from ASEAN registered 1.62 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 45.4 percent. The imports include natural rubber, paper pulp, oil and vegetable oil.
